This is the "blog" part of Self-Help-Life-Blog.Com. It is an informal, semi-regular journal of personal events, meditations and ponderings.
It is here that I share my understanding and experiences of life, of the teachings of saints, sages and great men and women and in doing so, I may help you understand yours. This is not to say that I am pushing any view on you, rather, that by sharing my own experience of life, I may stimulate you into looking deeply at your own. I am a firm believer that we must all examine our lives deeply if we are to make significant progress in "self-help."
An Underlying Theme
If my blog has any underlying theme it's this: "God exists in the world as the world."
For as long as I can remember, I have felt an intangible "something" beyond what my senses told me of this world. As a boy I would most often feel this while in nature whether by a creek, in a tranquil glen or at night looking up at the Milky Way. It was only later that I came to see this underlying force as God - what others have called consciousness, the Self and pure awareness.
It is for this reason that a current of "spirit" and spirituality runs through all that I do including this web site. And it is here in this blog that I will fully dive into this way of seeing the world and my life. To see God in the world as the world and in my life as my life is fundamental to how I approach each day. And it is this that I most wish to share.
